The Carolton Convalescent Hospital offers one of the most modern and best-equipped inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation facilities in the area as well as a team of expert professionals. We recognize the importance of providing speech, occupational and/or physical therapy designed to meet the individual needs of each patient.
Short-term hospital care is an important and growing component of convalescent services. In the past, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) were known as “nursing homes” and were primarily used for long-term custodial care. Today, only about one-fourth of new patients in SNFs fall into the long-term category – most new patients have just completed acute care hospitalization and require rehabilitation or additional recuperation before transitioning home.
Long-term care or residency may be necessary when adequate care-giving is not possible at home. Each patient at The Carolton is an individual, with individual needs and concerns, and we work hard to make every inquiry and patient placement as stress-free as possible. We strive to provide the environment and amenities to ensure our patients receive the highest quality care in a comfortable, home-like environment.
Hospice is a comprehensive program of medical care and emotional and spiritual support available to patients facing a life-limiting illness and their families.
