At the core of our care: Our nursing staff
The Carolton has one of the highest ratios of nurses to patients in the state, and we feel this is essential to providing the highest level of care to our patients. Our experienced nursing staff includes Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and provides attentive, personal care around the clock.
- On admission, each patient is assigned his or her own individual assistant. This well-trained caregiver will promptly communicate information and patient requests to the licensed nursing staff.
- All nursing staff is formally trained by our Staff Development Supervisor, beginning with a facility orientation and additional training through on-going in-service education programs.
- Our Nursing Department maintains open communications with all other members of the interdisciplinary team, including attending and specialty physicians, therapists, dietitians, social workers, recreation staff and pharmacist to ensure comprehensive care for every patient.
- An experienced Infection Control Nurse oversees the development and implementation of policies and procedures to promote the optimum wellness of all patients, residents, and staff.
- A Nursing Supervisor is available on each shift to immediately address any patient or family concerns.
